Amstel Playwright of the Year Award, var en uavhengig ikke-statlig pris, som ble innstiftet i Sør-Afrika i 1978. Den kunne tildeles sørafrikanske dramatikere. Prisen ble tildelt til mange av Sør-Afrikas anti-apartheid dramatikere.
Prisen opphørte i 1994.[1]
